Another unseasonably hot day. Tomorrow I may have to seriously water the front garden.

Open another window
onto August.

No april showers
the daffodils need a drink
I share dishwater

Deer descend here
to eat the daylilies shoots
eschewing green fields.

NaPoWriMo 2023 Day 13

A little late but squeaking in after watching The Return of the King in a movie theater. Four hours of protecting the world. Be strong friends, be strong.

A tale of heroes
but the truth, as legend shows
is the good within.

To see the good
just as the light on flowers
and be strong for all.

when your own strength fails
the others will lend their own
breathe and stand again.
