Everything’s clearer now the rain is gone

Well, it comes and goes but there have been bright days and some nice sunsets lately. I’m enjoying a few days off for the holiday and so I did go out yesterday morning and this afternoon. Bonus sunset photos! Sunday I re-wet my palette paints AFTER I’d been painting and let them soak it all in while sitting in the car overnight and what lovely paints I had for using today.

Here Comes The Sun

What a pleasure to be out in the sun today. Tonight was a bit windy. And, I realized that the reason for using the pochade box/tripod is so I’m not uncomfortably juggling everything on my lap/the ground/the car/etc. Oh yeah. I wasn’t trying to be lighter or anything, just done too much car-painting I guess and got out of practice. I did use my folding chair today though.

Painting in the Rain

That’s what the first part of yesterday was all about. This morning has stopped raining for the moment so I guess I’m heading back out there.

And then the vultures came.

That Bright Shiny Thing…

in the sky… what was that?

That was yesterday. Today, it wasn’t raining but there was no sun, and since I was off I got out there and tried some painting.

And then it rained some more.

So I came home and drew a couple things for the online people-drawing class.

May Day 2019

I got up and – ME – I had a conference call! The times they are a changin’ folks!

And then I got up and out and headed off to replace some common toiletries and drugs that I’d either run out of or which had expired in some degree. I don’t care too much about hard dates on those but I’m a reasonable person. Also, like my travel deodorant just fell apart… I got no explanation for stuff like that. And it’s pollen season and I really needed more claratin etc etc.

Then I stopped to paint. I was pulled pretty far off route 20 and after awhile a Fucillo parts delivery van pulled up along side me, the driver gesturing to find out if I was ok. I gave him the thumbs up and held up my in-progress painting, which now looks like this:
