Took myself down to Ooms Conservation Area to see what there was to see: an eagle, many singing birds, people fishing in boats…
too warm afternoon
maple raises red fists
against the still blue
first distant voices
a small bit of thundering
then heralding dogs
a corgi, sheltie
bounding down the path alone
then their owners
one turns to look back,
ridiculous chihuahua
clutched in her arm.
It looked like a rat with big ears but hey that’s just me.
